Fair Pay, Not Just Good Intentions
We're enrolled in BC's Child Care Operating Funding (CCOF) program, including its Wage Enhancement component, which supports fair compensation for early childhood educators — not just a promise, but a funded part of how we operate.

ECE
Full-time30 - 40 hours / week · $29.50 - 31 (includes ECE Wage Enhancement) based on experience
Start Date: As soon as possible About the Positions We are looking for passionate, nurturing educators to join our growing team. We have openings for one Early Childhood Educator (ECE) who want to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, play-based learning environment. About Our Center & Philosophy At Comfort First Early Learning, we believe that children are natural researchers, full of curiosity and capability. We are deeply inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. Rather than following a rigid, pre-set timeline, we embrace an emergent curriculum—meaning our daily activities and projects grow naturally out of the children's unique interests, questions, and discoveries. As an educator here, you won’t just be supervising; you will be a co-constructor of knowledge, documenting the children's learning journeys and creating beautiful, intentional environments that invite exploration. If you love stepping back to observe, stepping in to scaffold learning, and collaborating with a passionate team of like-minded professionals, you will love thriving in our space. Key Responsibilities - Keep daily written observations - Provide positive guidance - Build relationships with families and children - Implement emergent curriculum - Set up invitations to play - Create further provocations of children's play - Participate in monthly meetings and team professional development - Support a judgment-free work environment - Keep the facility clean, tidy, and organized - Create pedagogical reflections - Support and encourage good communication between staff - Demonstrate good self-management skills - Help maintain accurate logs and reports (e.g., daily, weekly, and monthly facility assessments)

ITE

ECE Assistant
Full-time30 - 40 hours / week · $21 - 23.50 (based on education and experience)
Start Date: As soon as possible About Our Center & Role At Comfort First Early Learning, we are a emergent curriculum facility inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, where children are valued as capable, curious learners. We embrace an emergent curriculum, allowing daily activities to grow naturally from the children's interests. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our lead educators and building a warm, judgment-free space where both children and staff thrive. Key Responsibilities - Provide positive guidance - Build relationships with children and their families - Assist Educators in implementing emergent curriculum - Participate in monthly staff meetings and share your learning in the ECE program - Support a judgment-free work environment - Keep the facility clean, tidy, and organized - Practice good communication between staff - Demonstrate good self-management skills during prep time - Assist to maintain accurate logs and reports
